Yet another finger style lesson. It's my favorite form of guitar playing, and when it all boils down, it's the way guitars were designed to be played. Scraping the music out out with a plastic plectrum came much later, and I've never been a big fan of flat picking, in fact I stopped using them back in the 70's.
This is a fairly simple arrangement of Amazing Grace, a tune we all know. I guess it's a hymn more than anything else, and it's a great example of the I - IV and V chords working together to create a piece that keeps doing the "right" things. I have added a couple of extra chords into it, just as a way of adding interest, but they need not be there. It's a waltz, meaning 3/4 time, meaning if you were to count this out, it would... see
